The Gathering at Gull Island
A time for tradition and human connection”.
The Gathering is a cultural event for the Sheshatshui Innu that takes place in Gull Island during mid September for a week where they return to the land to reclaim their culture’s traditions. During the week-long gathering, the indigenous group sleep in tents and lived a more traditional way of life, away from modern technology like cellphones.
